The mission of Suomi-Seura ry is to be a unique center of expertise and service for Finns abroad, which promotes the affairs of Finns living in the world. Suomi-Seura ry strengthens the connections of about 2 million expatriate Finns to Finland and makes expatriate Finns visible in social debate and decision-making, as well as disseminates up-to-date information about Finland abroad. The Finnish Society promotes interaction between Finns abroad and Finland, nurtures cultural contact and strengthens the image of Finland.
We publish Suomen Silta magazine and distribute grants to expatriate Finnish communities and expatriate Finnish media . We act as a guardian of the interests of expatriate Finns in Finland. Our counseling service provides information, support and advice on issues related to living abroad and return migration.
